The Minority Health Promotion Center(MHPC) provides
health education and outreach, health fairs and workshops, and
screenings, as well as RITE Care and Rhode Island Pharmaceutical
Assistance for the Elderly(RIPAE) application assistance.
With
funding from the RI Department of Health, the MHPC offers outreach
programs in tobacco control. These programs inform clients
about the dangers of smoking and how to identify tobacco-advertising
strategies, especially those that target youths.
