Work Training Certificate Program

The Work Training Certificate Program course develops skills for entry-level jobs in Customer Service, Retail Sales, and Office Settings. Curriculum includes instruction in:

  • Computer Skills - the Internet and e-mail; Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing for Business
  • Career Exploration, Resume Writing, Job Interviewing, and Job Search Skills
  • Math for Business
  • Typing Skills - Alpha and Numeric Keyboards

Instructors use a hands-on approach and augment classroom instruction with workplace visits, job shadowing, and job-related workshops.

Students will have an opportunity to be placed in an internship where they can get training at a worksite during class time.

Minimum qualifications for program admission are a basic level of proficiency in English, the dedication to attend class everyday, and a commitment to complete the entire course.

Students may enroll in either the morning or evening class.

The course runs from September to June and classes are offered on the following schedule:

 

 

Monday-Friday:

Monday-Thursday:

9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
