Citizenship Preparation Program

The Citizenship Preparation Program prepares participants for the naturalization test and interview in order to obtain U.S. citizenship.  Interview preparation includes developing English language skills in reading, writing, and speaking, and test preparation develops general knowledge about U.S. History and Government.  

Curriculum is structured around the USCIS testing standards and materials, including the 100 Citizenship Questions, the N-400 application, and the four skills of English language use.  Instruction is supplemented by civic participation and community service projects.

Program eligibility includes legal permanent resident status in the U.S. for at least 3-5 years.  This course runs from October to May and classes are offered on the following schedule:

Citizenship: Low

M/W  6 PM -  8 PM

   

Citizenship: High

T/Th  6 PM - 8 PM

 

The program includes application and representation assistance through the International Institute's Feinstein Center for Citizenship and Immigration Services.
