Join Us for world refugee day!

Please join International Institute Rhode Island &
the Providence Academy of International Studies for a

World Refugee Day Celebration!

The Honorable William Twaddell, former US Ambassador to Liberia, Mauritania and Nigeria will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

The program is free and open to the public and will feature two individual refugees sharing their journeys from their homeland to Providence, RI. There will be muusical and dance performances and light refreshments will be served.

Three community partners will be recognized for their outstanding work in the refugee community including Christ Church, Edesia, and George Matouk, Jr.

Come celebrate the spirit and courage of the world’s refugees, giving them the support and respect they deserve. Your support will help continue the work of International Institute Rhode Island and its community partners. IIRI offers a strong helping hand to families and individuals upon their arrival to accelerate their transition to become self-sufficient and active community participants.
