84th Annual Meeting of the Board
of Directors The 84th Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors was standing room only with more than 100 people in attendance. The keynote speaker for this fabulous event was Antonia Hernández, California Community Foundation President and CEO. Antonia, nationally recognized for her commitment toward the betterment of underserved communities in Los Angeles and beyond, addressed and reaffirmed the economic benefits the U.S. has received from immigrants. The audience also heard from Senator Jack Reed, Mayor David Cicilline, Dr. Pablo Rodriguez, IIRI Executive Director Bill Shuey, and Ntaganda Ntiziharwa; an IIRI staff member, a U.S. solider, and a former IIRI client from Burundi. The program was followed by a lovely reception and an art exhibit by Tony Reeves and Susan Hardy Twaddell. To read more about
