save the date for the 21st annual spring carnival ball
Saturday, April 14th at Rhodes-on-the-Pawtuxet at 8 pm
Please join us in celebrating the 21st Annual Spring Carnival Ball on Saturday, April 14, 2007 from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM at Rhodes-on-the-Pawtuxet in Cranston. All proceeds from the evening will benefit Rhode Island’s immigrant and refugee communities.
With the reputation of being one of the Ocean State’s best and most diverse parties of the year, the Spring Carnival Ball is renown for its quality international entertainment, cuisine, and high energy.
The event is being co-chaired by two of Rhode Island's finest business leaders, namely Bank of America, Rhode Island’s President, William Hatfield and Taco, Inc.’s President, John Hazen White, Jr.
This year’s “gala extraordinaire”, celebrating 21 years of Spring Carnival Balls, will feature Grupo Fantasia, a group of musicians from around the world, providing traditional island entertainment with an extensive repertoire of songs from the Caribbean, Latin America, Cuban, Dominican Merengue, Puerto Rican Bomba and Plena, and Colombian Cumbia, and
Inca Son, a celebrated band, and one of the few bearers of the Inca musical legacy, with ancient melodies, dances, and attire, transporting you to the Andes of Peru. The Spring Carnival Ball will also feature BIG NAZO, What Cheer? Brigade, The Chinese Folk Art Workshop Dragon dance, Festival Ballet dancers, Rhode Island College and Johnson and Wales dancers, and fine catering by Russell Morin.
Tickets for the 21st Annual Spring Carnival Ball are $40 each ($15 for students) and may be purchased in advance by calling 401-784-8634. Patron tickets are available at $100 each to the Patron Reception from 7 PM to 8 PM and the Ball. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door.
