Please join us this saturday for the spring carnival ball!
Please join us in celebrating the 22nd Annual Spring Carnival Ball this Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM at Rhodes-on-the-Pawtuxet in Cranston. All proceeds from the evening will benefit Rhode Island’s immigrant and refugee communities.
With the reputation of being one of the Ocean State’s best and most diverse parties of the year, the Spring Carnival Ball is renown for its quality international entertainment and high energy.
The event is being co-chaired by Joseph J. MarcAurele, President of Citizens Bank, Rhode Island and John Hazen White, Jr., President of Taco, Inc.
This year's Spring Carnival Ball will feature Grupo Fantasia, a group of musicians from around the world, providing traditional island entertainment with an extensive repertoire of songs from the Caribbean, Latin America, Cuban, Dominican Merengue, Puerto Rican Bomba and Plena, and Colombian Cumbia.. The Spring Carnival Ball will also feature BIG NAZO, What Cheer? Brigade, Lion Dancers, and Rhode Island College and Johnson and Wales dancers.
Tickets for the 22nd Annual Spring Carnival Ball are $40 each ($15 for students) and may be purchased at the door. Patron tickets are available at $100 each to the Patron Reception from 7 PM to 8 PM and the Ball. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door.
