Thank you for a tremendous year!
You have helped keep our classrooms full, make new homes for vulnerable refugees, and readied many immigrants for their new U.S. Citizenship.
In the midst of the most severe recession in recent memory, high local unemployment, a crisis in housing, and the unfortunate continuation of anti-immigrant sentiment, I continue to see an incredible resiliency of the human spirit in the immigrant and refugee communities. Their success has been made possible by your generosity – your gifts of time, energy, advocacy, and financial support of our clients and their families.
You have given so many clients the opportunity to find their way on their path to the American Dream:
- 749 motivated students improved their English Language and job skills
- 2,060 clients applied for green cards, citizenship and family reunification
- 529 refugees received essential services to ensure success in their newly adopted country
This work continues to be both relevant and essential to the Rhode Island economy, now perhaps more than ever. We thank you for helping us keep the American dream alive.
